1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 t. baking soda
3 t. baking powder
4 c. flour
1 t. vanilla
1 orange: grated rind and juice

ICING:
1 orange - rind and juice
1 lb. confectioners sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking soda, nd baking powder and set aside. With
mixer, cream sugar, shortening, eggs. Slowly add the flour mix
alternately with the sour cream. Add vanilla, orange rind and
juice. Let stand in cool place for 15 minutes. Drop onto
ungreased cookie sheet by tablespoonfuls and bake at 400º for
10 minutes. Blend icing ingredients and ice cookies when hot
and let cool.
