1 cup milk warmed
1/2 cup shortening
1 tsp. salt
2 tbs. instant yeast
2 eggs beaten
4 and 1/2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients and knead dough for 8 minutes.
This is a stiff dough.
Let rise until double, punch down, let rise 10 minutes, roll into balls the size of a walnut, roll in melted butter, then into a mixture of 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup chopped nuts. Put into a well greased pan, one, two or three layers. Let rise until double. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Glaze with 3/4 cup melted butter and 3 tbs. honey or 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 to 2 tbs. water, milk or cream and 1/2 tsp. vanilla.
