2 quarts chicken broth
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp soy sauce
5 large dried mushrooms, presoaked and sliced thin lenghtwise
1 c thinly sliced bamboo shoots
1 c thin strips of pork
2 cakes tofu (bean curd) cut in cubes
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 c vinegar
1 egg slightly beaten
1 Tbsp sesame oil
2 green onions chopped fine
4 Tbsp cornstarch in 4 Tbsp cold water
dash tabasco if you like hotter soup

mix the broth, salt, soy sauce, mushrooms, bamboo shoots and pork in a pot. bring to a boil and simmer 20 minutes. add the pepper, tofu, and vinegar. heat to boil and stir in cornstarch mixture. slowly stir in beaten egg. add sesame oil and onions
