"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add juices and peel; mix well (mixture may appear curdled). Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift four with baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8 inch cake pans. Bake at 375º for 25-30 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. For the frosting, combine the coconut, sugar, juices and 3 teaspoons peel; mix well. Let stand for 10-15 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Fold in whipped cream. Spread between layers and over the top. Sprinkle with remaining orange peel. Chill for at least 1 hour.
