1 Cup Molasses Syrup
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
2/3 Cup Shortening
1 Teaspoon Soda
4 Cups Flour
Cinnamon
Cloves
Ginger
Salt
Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º.

Cream together shortening and sugar. Add molasses and egg; beat well. Sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and salt; add to flour mixture. Mix well, cover and chill. Form into 1 inch balls. Roll each ball in granulated sugar and place on greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake 8-10 minutes.
