1 lb butter
1 lb light brown sugar
3 eggs
3 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
4 1/2 c self-rising flour sifted once 2 cups set aside
1 tsp baking soda
1 small jar pineapple preserves
1 large container fruit cake mix ( candied fruit)
3 quarts chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
cream butter and brown sugar, add eggs, beating after each one, sift 2 1/2 cups flour with baking soda, add milk, vanilla, and dry ingredients, mix well, add preserves. Roll fruit in 2 cups flour, add to batter, add nuts, mix well, drop by teaspoonful on cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 325º oven for 10-15 minutes. Do not over cook.
