1/2 cup soft butter
1/2 cup Crisco
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup packed, brown sugar
1 tablespoon water
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups flour
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup dried cherries

Cream first 4 ingredients together. Then add the rest of
ingredients and blend well. Drop by tablespoonfuls on greased
cookie sheet. Press slightly. Bake at 350 for about 12
