Brownies:
1 (19.5 oz box) brownie mix
1 tsp. instant coffee
1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
1/4 c. water
2 eggs
1/2 c. finely chopped toffee candy bars (2 Heath bars)
1/2 c. slivered almonds, toasted

Topping:
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. instant coffee
1 1/2 c. whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped toffee candy bars (4 bars)
1/2 c. slivered almonds, toasted

Directions:
Directions:
Brownies: Beat together brownie mix, 1 tsp. instant coffee, butter, water, and eggs on low speed for one minute. Gently stir in 1/2 c. chopped candy bars and 1/2 c. almonds. Spread batter in greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350º for 24-28 minutes or till edges are firm. Do not overbake. Cool completely, about one hour.

Topping: Beat cream cheese, brown sugar and 1 tsp. instant coffee on medium till smooth. Increase speed to high, beat in cream and vanilla till peaks form.

Spread cream cheese mixture over cooled brownies. Sprinkle 1 c. chopped candy bars and 1/2 c. almonds on top. Refrigerate at least an hour before serving.

To toast almonds: spread on cookie sheet; bake at 350 for 5-7 min, stirring occasionally, till golden brown.
