1/2 c. butter, soft
8 oz. cream cheese, soft
1 1/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 c. mashed bananas
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
3/4 c. chopped nuts, opt.
2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Cream together butter and cream cheese. Gradually add white sugarand beat till light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Stir in mashed bananas and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda, and powder. Stir till batter is just moist. In small bowl, mix together nuts, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Put 1/2 the batter in each of 2 greased 8x4 loaf pans. Sprinkle nut mixture on top and put rest of batter over that. Bake at 350º for about 45 minutes or till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
