2 cups sugar
1 cup butter and crisco mixed
2 eggs
1 cup whipping cream
Approximately 5 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda in a little hot water
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla
pinch of salt
Filling:
1 small package of dates, cut up
1 cup raisins
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cook filling mixture until thickened; then cool. Combine dough
ingredients and mix well until blended. Then roll out onto floured
surface and cut with small circular cookie cutter or biscuit cutter.
Put one teaspoon of mixture in the
middle of each cookie and then put another cookie on top and
press lightly around edges and center. Bake in 375 º oven.
Watch while baking so they don't burn.
