Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 green peppers,
1 lb. finely shredded cheese,
1 to 2 lbs. ground beef,
2 small cans tomato sauce,
1 small onion finely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef and onion until completely cooked.
While meat is cooking, cut off the top of the green peppers and clean out the seeds and rinse the inside out with cold water. It will help if bottom of peppers are square, so trim some of the bottom off, careful not to cut off bottom completely.
Place peppers in a 13"x8"x2" baking dish.(Glass works best). The measurements are approximate, but it does need to be at least 2" deep.
Drain and rinse ground beef with hot water to get rid of excess grease.
After this, put ground beef in a large bowl and mix in a can and a half of the tomato sauce. If you really like cheese, you can add some to mixture.
Spoon mixture into peppers. Fill each pepper until just below the top. Don't worry if you have extra, you can put it on bottom of pan. Sprinkle as much cheese as you want on top of each pepper.
With remaining half of sauce, fill the other half with water and pour in pan, this will keep the bottoms of the peppers from burning.

Bake for 30-40 minutes at 350º.
