1 lb. good butcher home smoked bacon,
5 lbs. good chopped sirloin hamburger,
1 lb. sweet onion sliced thin,
1 lb. large round carrots sliced thin,
3 lbs. nice red potatoes sliced thin,
1/4 c. water and seasonings to your choice

Directions:
Directions:
Layer the above ingredients starting with the bacon on the bottom then the hamburger, potatoes, onions and carrots. Repeat the layering process until you fill up a large cooking pot making sure you end with the carrots on top.
Season to your liking.
Add water and cook on top of stove covered on medium heat for 2 to 3 hours or when the carrots on top are tender.
