For dough:
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. unsalted butter (hold salt above if using salted butter)
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

For topping:
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bowl, stir together 2 cups sugar and 1/4 teaspoon
cinnamon and set aside.

Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

In separate bowl, cream the butter. Add the sugar/cinnamon
mixture and continue to mix. Then add the eggs, corn syrup
and vanilla and mix thoroughly. Add the dry ingredients and
mix until blended.

Chill dough 1 hour if it's sticky or difficult to handle.

Preheat oven to 375º

Roll balls of dough about the size of a walnut, then roll them in
the cinnamon/sugar topping to coat. Place on an ungreased
sheet pan 2 1/2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until
puffed and the surface is slightly cracked.
