2 c. canned or fresh pureed pumpkin (pure pumpkin, not pumpkin pie mix)
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
3 eggs
1 can evaporated milk
1 uncooked 9-inch pie shell

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º

Mix sugars, salt, cinnamon, ginger and cloves in small bowl.

Beat eggs in large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and sugar/spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated milk.

Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake 45-55 minutes (until firm at center).

This was Great-Grandma Stukey's favorite and I used to bring her a piece every time I visited her at Aunt Helen's house and in the rest home.
