2 Tbsp. Yeast
1 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Butter
1 Tsp. Salt
3 Eggs
4-1/2 Cups Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix water and yeast. Warm milk, butter, salt and sugar. Add to yeast. Beat in eggs. Add flour to make a sticky dough. Let rise until about double. Roll into rolls, raise, and bake at 375º until golden brown. Brush with a mixture of milk and powdered sugar.

This is the recipe my mother-in-law used to teach me how to make bread. (It was a very painful process for her.) I always double the recipe and use half the dough to make cinnamon rolls. Just roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread melted butter on the dough, and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll up lengthwise and cut as you would for cinnamon rolls.
