Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 plus 1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups confectioners' sugar
4 beaten eggs
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 (16 oz) can of chocolate syrup
1 tsp vanilla
2 T green creme de menthe syrup (I use white and add green food coloring)
1 cup chocolate chips, melted
4 T butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
For the first layer, preheat the over to 350º. In a medium bowl cream 1/2 cup butter with the granulated sugar. Add the eggs and mix. Add the flour, salt, chocolate syrup and vanilla, and blend well. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes and let cool completely.

For the second layer, combine the confectioners' sugar, the remaining 1/2 cup softened butter, and the creme de menthe (also green food coloring if necessary). Spread this mixture over the first, cooled layer.

For the third layer, combine chocolate chips and melted butter. Let the mixture cool. Spread it on as the top layer. Allow to cool long enough to become firm, and cut into squares.

Personal Notes:
I find that if you put in the fridge to cool and then try to cut, the chocolate will crack. Cut when cooled and firm. A plastic knife may work best. I cut my squares SMALL - it's a rich dessert and can go a long way.
