1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup or 1 stick margarine or butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup quick cooking or regular oats
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 package (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Beat sugars, margarine, peanut butter, vanilla and egg in medium bowl with wooden spoon until creamy and well blended
Mix in flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet.

To make bars: Grease bottom of 9" x 9" pan & spread dough in pan. Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
