1/4 c. butter or margarine
4-6 large chicken breasts
1 medium onion, sliced
1 garlic clove, minced
2 T. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
basil, small pinch
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 c. hot water
1/4 c. red wine
snipped parsley

In large skillet, saute the chicken breasts in the butter until both sides are well browned. Add onion and garlic. Cook 5 minutes.

In small bowl combine flour, salt, pepper and basil. Slowly stir in bouillon cubes, dissolved in hot water. Pour over chicken. Cook slowly, covered, 25-30 minutes or until chicken is tender. Add the wine and heat to serving temperature. Garnish with parsley.

If more gravy is desired, double the amount of bouillon, hot water and wine.
