Ingredients:

1 c. flour
1 c. water
1/2 c. salt
1 T salad oil
1 tsp. cream of tartar
food coloring of choice

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in med. pan. Heat oven to med. heat, stirring constantly until dough comes away from pan. Take off heat and press into a ball.

DO NOT DOUBLE RECIPE

Mom made lots of play dough for our kids when they were growing up. This recipe, in her handwriting, is in her little private recipe book. I don't know what would happen if someone doubled the recipe! She was emphatic about it.
