Brussel Sprouts with Almonds Recipe

1 1/2 pounds brussel sprouts or frozen
1 tablespoon dry french onion soup mix
2 cups boiling water
3 chicken bouillon cubes
4 Tablespoons butter
1 small package slivered almonds

Clean and soak fresh brussel sprouts in cold water with 2
teaspoons salt for 1/2 hour. (if using frozen one's no soaking
is needed, just follow directions on the package.) Drain and
rinse. Put them in a saucepan with onion soup mix, boiling
water and bouillon cubes. Cook covered for 15 minutes until
tender. Saute almonds in butter for 3 minutes. Drain and
dollop with butter and sauteed almonds. Serve immediately.

Serves: 6
