1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups diced apples
2 tablespoons hot water

For butter sauce:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons white rum

For cake: mix ingredients together. Bake in a greased 9 inch
cake pan for 45 minutes or until done in 350 oven. Slice
into wedges and serve with poured sauce on top. Serves about

For sauce: melt butter and sugars then add cream and cook on
low heat constantly stirring until it boils.
