1 lb fettuccine or pasta of your choosing
8 T unsalted butter, 4 oz half and half
1 c grated Parmesan cheese
gnd. pepper to taste, a dash or two of nutmeg
Directions:
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions al dente. While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large saute pan over low heat. Add the cream and let it warm. Drain pasta and mix with butter and cream, continuing over low heat. Add the cheese and toss until sauce slightly thickens (add more cream for a thinner sauce if desired). Season with pepper and nutmeg.

For a different take on this recipe, add some sautéed shrimp or chicken and carmelized onions. This recipe is quick and easy and a favorite with children.
