1 LB Sausage or Italian Sausage
8 Eggs
10 slices bread
2 C milk
3/4 C grated cheese
1 stick melted butter
green pepper, onions, mushrooms are optional
or use ham instead of sausage

Directions:

Mix 2 Cups milk & eggs beat well add 1tsp of salt & pepper to egg mixture. Set aside.

Break bread into cubes, put 5 slices on bottom of 13 x 9 pan. Sprinkle 1/2 of the browned sausage, cheese, and optional ingredients over the bread; then add another layer of bread and then sprinkle the remaining sausage, cheese, and optional ingredients. Pour liquid mixture over the entire dish. Store in refrigerator over night. Bake at 350 for 1 hour

This is a great make ahead dish. We always have this on Christmas morning. Enjoy!! Also I do not always follow recipes exactly, on this one I use extra cheese. I like to cover the entire layer.
