1 # raisins. 1/2 Dromedary mixed fruits. 1/2 c rum or wine. 1T lemon extract. 1 tsp vanilla. 1 T orange extract.
Glazed red cherries.
Glazed green cherries.

1 c shortening. 1 c brown sugar. 3 beaten eggs. 2 1/2 c flour (sifted). 1/2 tsp salt. 1 tsp nutmeg. 1 tsp cinnamon.

Mix first 8 ingredients, cover and let stand at room temperature overnight. Cream shortening, brown sugar, beaten eggs, flour, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Add creamed mixture to fruit. Drop on cookie sheet and bake at 375º for 12 minutes.
