1 c chopped dates
1 c chopped nuts
4 T flour
1/3 c softened butter
2 c brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 c pumpkin
4 eggs
2 tsp soda
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/6 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
tsp salt

1 c brown sugar
4 T butter
6 T cream or canned milk
2 c sifted powdered sugar
1 T water (possibly)

Cream butter and sugar; add pumpkin, eggs, nutmeg, soda, ginger, cinnamon, flour, and salt. Mix in dates and nuts. Place in greased and floured pan 9 X 13 pan and bake for 40 minutes at ?????? Frosting: Put in saucepan brown sugar, butter and cream or canned milk and boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add sifted powdered sugar; beat until smooth. Add 1 T hot water if too stiff.
