Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb walnut halves
6 egg whites
2 c sugar
1 tbsp vanilla
5 tbsp all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Gradually add the sugar and continue to beat until well blended. Sift flour lightly over beaten whites and fold in with a wire whisk. Add vanilla and blend into mixture. Gently fold in the walnuts (gently so you don't break down the egg whites) Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove at once. Bake at 325º. Makes about 6 doz small cookies.
NOTE: Sometimes I just spread the cookies onto cookie sheets so they are not on top of another nut and bake. Then break them apart and serve in a candy dish like individual morsels. May be stored in the freezer for up to 6 months.
