4 cups baking soda
2 cups cornstarch
2 ½ cups water

Directions:
Directions:
Over low heat, mix the baking soda and cornstarch in a large saucepan, Add the water slowly to prevent lumping, and stir well. Cook six minutes, or until the mixture has the consistency of mashed potatoes. Spread on a cookie sheet to cool. Cover with a damp dish towel. Knead for 10 minutes, if desired, add food coloring. Store in an airtight container. (Makes clay for about 20 fossils.)
