2 C Raisins
1 C Water
1 t. Baking Soda
1 C Shortening
2 t. Salt
1 1/2 t. Cinnamon
2 C Sugar
1/4 t Nutmeg
1/4 t. Allspice
3 Eggs
4 C Flour
1 t. Baking Powder
1 C Walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins and water for 5 minutes. Cream eggs, sugar and shortening. Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Blend in raisins and walnuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes.
