"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

1 pkg. crescent roll dough
4 oz. cream cheese
1/3 C mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
1 Tbl. ranch dressing mix (dry)
1/8 tsp. lemon herb seasoning
1/4 tsp. dill
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
dash pepper

2 C broccoli
1/2 C carrots
1/4 C green onions
1/2 C cheese, shredded
1/2 C green/red/yellow pepper
1 small can sliced olives

Slice, dice, chop or grate all veggies into small pieces. (Also good with radishes, celery, red onion, tomato, etc.) Unroll dough and pinch dotted seams together to form a solid rectangular crust and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake as directed until slightly golden. While it cools, mix topping ingredients together, then spread evenly over crust. Sprinkle with chopped veggies and cheese and allow to chill in refrigerator before serving.

Personal Notes:
This was one of my very favorite things that Grandma EIV would make for us. Great as a light lunch, side dish or appetizer. May want to double, because if you chop small enough your kids won't ever realize how many vegetables they're getting!
