2 Tbsp. butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup dark corn syrup
1 1-pound can pear halves
1 14.5 ounce package gingerbread mix

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in 9 x 1 1/2 inch layer cake pan. Stir in brown sugar
and corn syrup; blend well. Cut pear halves in half, forming
quarters. Place a walnut half in cavity of each quarter; arrange in
pan spoke-fashion, cut side down. Arrange remaining nuts in
center of pan. Prepare gingerbread mix according to package
directions; pour batter carefully over pears and nuts in pan.
Bake at 350º for about 40 minutes. Let stand for 1/2 minute;
invert on serving plate. Serve with whipped cream.
