Crust:
1 c. shortening
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 egg yolk with enough milk to make 2/3 c.

Filling:
8-10 apples, peeled and sliced
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg white (whipped)
2 handfuls of corn flakes, crushed

Glaze:
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients for crust. Roll out 1/2 of dough to fit 9x13 pan. Sprinkle crust with crushed corn flakes. Add apples and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll remaining crust--place on top, pinch edges together. Brush with beaten egg white on top of crust. Bake 1 hour at 400º. While warm, frost with glaze.
