1/2 c. flour
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. thyme leaves
3 lb. stew meat (1 in. cubes)
2 c. sliced celery
1/2 c. oil
1 sliced carrot
1 sliced onion
3 c. water
1 c. frozen peas
3 tsp. tomato sauce
beef bouillon cubes
2 tsp. Worcestershire

Directions:
Directions:
Use flour and pepper to coat meat in paper bag, a few pieces at a time. Brown in the oil in large dutch oven. Add water with boullion cubes dissolved. Add tomato sauce, worcestershire, bay leaf and thyme. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Add ptoates, celery, carrots and onion. Simmer covered for 35 minutes or until tender. Add peas, then cook 5 minutes longer covered. Salt to taste.
