Beef Stroganoff Recipe

2lbs. beef sirloin or chicken breasts

1/3c. flour

1tsp. salt

1/2c. onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2lb. mushrooms, sliced

1/3c. shortening

1 can onion soup

1T. worcestershire sauce

1c. sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Coat meat evenly with a mixture of flour, salt and pepper.

In heavy skillet brown onions and garlic.

Add meat strips and cook over medium heat until browned.

Add soup, cover and simmer over low heat 25-30 minutes for the beef or 20-25- minutes for the chicken.

Blend worcestershire and sour cream.

When meat is tender remove from heat and blend sour cream mixture into the meat. Do not let it boil.

Serve with rice pilaf.
