Chuck Roast
Onion, cut up
Carrots

Directions:
Directions:
Brown roast in oil on both sides in a roaster pan. Add one small onion and brown with roast. Pour off grease. Salt and pepper to taste.

Add 2 c. water. Cover and bake at 325º for 3 hours or till tender. Add carrots for last hour.

Gravy: Remove roast from pan. Make thickening of 1/3 c. flour and 1/2 c. milk, shake well in jar. Heat broth in roaster on stovetop. Slowly add thickening while whisking. Add only enough to thicken broth to gravy. Serve with mashed potatoes.

Mom's Beef and Noodles: Break up meat and miix with cooked egg noodles. Add some meat broth to flavor.
