4 eggs
4 c. pecans
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. chopped dates
1 c. flour
Directions:
Directions:
Line loaf pan with greased, heavy paper. Sift dry ingredients together. Dredge 1/2 flour mix with chopped fruit and nuts. Beat eggs and sugar until thick and golden. Blend remaining flour into egg mixture. Stir flour coated fruit and nuts into egg mixture. Turn into prepared pan and bake 2 hours at 250º. Even those who hate fruitcake will love it!
