1-3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. margarine
2 lg. eggs
1-3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 T. cocoa
6 oz. chocolate chips
3/4 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes. After cooled, mix in both sugars and margarine. Add eggs and beat. Add flour, soda, salt and cocoa. Finally blend in chocolate chips. Pour batter into a greased 9x13 pan and sprinkle with nuts. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350 º.
