2 cups flour
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 baking powder
6 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup butterscotch morsels
1/4 cup toffee chips
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Garnish: melted chocolate

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, sift together flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and baking powder. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in butterscotch morsels and toffee chips. In a small bowl, combine buttermilk, egg and vanilla extract. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moist. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Using a 1 1/2 inch square cutter, cut scones and place on baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 400º or until lightly browned. Cool. Garnish with melted chocolate in a bow design, if desired.
