1 pound ground sausage or 1 package dried beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
Minced garlic
3 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk or half and half
2 teaspoons pepper
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet, combine sausage, onion and garlic. Cook over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes or until the sausage is browned and crumbly. Stir in flour and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Gradually stir in the milk. Add salt and pepper and cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until gravy is thickened. Remove from heat and stir in butter until melted.
