1c water,6T cocoa, 1c oleo,2c sugar,2c flour,
1/4tsp salt,1/2c buttermilk,1tsp soda,1tsp vanilla
2 beaten eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 3 ingred.in 1qt. pan. Bring to boil. Pour into heat proof 2qt bowl. Add next 3 ingred. to that blend in last 4 ingred. Mix Well ! Prepare
11x15x1 w/shortening&dust w/flour. Preheat to 375º, Bake 20 min. Test w/ toothpick in center for doneness. Cool on rack til almost cool,Frost
w/ favorite frosting. I use Betty's Chocolate Frosting

This is my Mom's fav. She got it from her sis-in-law,my Aunt Marilyn. It just isn't Mom's B-Day without it! Whenever that question came up about why the Texas Brownies were so Big, Aunt Marilyn would respond: "Cuz we all know everything's Bigger in Texas"! Yes, the brownies are Bigger! LOL
