2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
3 tablespoons milk
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup grated raw apple
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Cream together in a large bowl: sugar, butter, and eggs until light and fluffy. Beat in milk and lemon juice. Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Stir the dry ingredients into the sugar mixture until just moistened then add the apples, raisins and nuts. Mix well and spoon the batter into 3 greased 6 x 3 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes
