5-6 cups broccoli flowerettes
1 large sweet red onion
8 pieces fried bacon (crispy but not burnt)
(Sauce)
1 Cup white Raisins
1/2 cup Mayo, 1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup oil (canola), 1/4 White Vinegar

Combine sauce mix, let stand overnight in refrigerator. Break flowerettes into bite size pieces and place in deep salad bowl. Coarse chop the red onion and crumble the bacon into the bowl. Stir in sauce and mix thoroughly. Serve chilled.

Dad made this for Sunday family dinners at our home on River Blvd. The sauce, bacon and raisins give it a gestalt flavor that makes eating obnoxiously healthy raw broccoli a cool and crunchy treat. Even my Kids love it. Bill would be proud that you tried it.
