Apple Pie Recipe

2/3 cups sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Dash of salt
8 cups thinly sliced and peeled apples (8 medium)
2 Tbsp butter

Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in large bowl
Stir in apples
Turn into pie shell
Dot with butter
Cover with top crust, cut in slits, seal and flute
Brush top crust with milk and sprinkle approx 1 Tbsp sugar on top
Cover edge with aluminum foil to prevent burning and remove last 15 minutes of baking

Bake @425 for 40-50 minutes or until juice begins to bubble through slits in crust
Cool on wire rack
