1 box Devil's Food Cake mix,
2 ounces cream cheese, softened
no substitution
1/4 cup butter softened
3/4 cup shortening
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2-4 cups powdered sugar

Milk as needed

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cake mix, shortening, and eggs. If the dough is too sticky to handle add a little flour. Roll dough into balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 6-8 minutes until tops barely start to crack. Cool on pan for 1 minute then move cookies to cooling rack. Let cool and frost. These are sandwich cookies by the way. You can make them as big or as small as you like. Yields 20 cookies.
