12 apples (peeled & cored) and into each apple place:
1 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. butter
Crust
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup milk
Sauce:
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tablespoon butter

Directions:
Directions:
Place apple in center of dough (roll out very thin)
place sugar, cinnamon and butter in each apple

Pull dough up over each apple and pinch dough together to completely cover apple.

Sauce:
Bring all ingredients except butter to a boil. Remove from heat, add butter and pour over dumplings.

Bake at 375º for 35 minutes
NOTE: These freeze well - omit the sauce and freeze - Do not thaw to cook!
