1 cup Karo white or dark syrup
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups Cheerios

Directions:
Directions:
Put syrup, butter and sugar in saucepan. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Take off heat. Add peanut butter and stir. Add Cheerios, stir until mixed. Put into 9 x 13 pan, sprayed lightly with Pam. Pat down. Cool, cut and serve.

I have probably made these bars l00 times in the past 30 years and my kids still love them, especially Sheila! They also freeze well--just wrap individually in waxed paper and freeze--a quick easy addition to a cold lunch or an easy snack after school.
