1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. baking soda
1/4 c. cocoa
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1-3/4 c. graham cracker crumbs
3/4 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts

FILLING:
1/3 c. butter (do not substitute), softened
2 c. confectioner's sugar
3 T. milk
1 tsp. peppermint extract
Green food coloring (optional)

TOPPING:
2/3 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
2 T. butter (do not substitute)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat butter, cocoa and sugar over low heat until dissolved, remove from heat. Stir in a small amount of the hot mixture with the egg, then return all to the pan. Heat to 160 degrees. Remove from heat. Add crumbs, coconut and walnuts. Press into a greased 9 inch square pan. Cool.

Filling: Beat butter, confectioner's sugar, milk and peppermint until smooth. Tint with food coloring.
Spread over crust layer.

Topping: Melt chocolate chips and butter over low heat until smooth. Cool to room temperature. Spread evenly over filling layer. Cover and refrigerate about 1 hour until set. Cut into bars.
