1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup almonds, sliced

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream margarine, sugar and vanilla. Blend in flour. Spread dough onto bottom and sides of spring form pan.

2. Combine softened cream cheese and sugar; mix well. Blend in egg and vanilla. Pour into pastry-lined pan.

3. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Toss apples in sugar mixture. Spoon mixture over cream cheese layer; sprinkle with almonds.

4. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes; continue baking at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool before removing rim of pan.
