1 package yeast
1/4 cup warm water (110 to 115 degrees)
3/4 cup hot scalded milk
3 tablespoons shortening
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 1/2 cups flour, up to 3 cups
1/2 cup melted butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
3/4 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Soften yeast in water. Combine milk, shortening, 2 tablespoons sugar, and salt. Stir to melt shortening. Cool to lukewarm. Stir in yeast. Gradually add flour to form stiff dough. Knead until smooth and satiny. Place in greased bowl. Let rise in warm place until light- about 1 hour. Place aluminum foil in a round pan. Combine last 4 ingredients. Pinch off small pieces of dough. Roll in melted butter and then in sugar, cinnamon mixture. Place in circles in pan. Let rise until light, 45 to 60 minutes. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Drizzle with confectioner's sugar frosting.
