1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup raisins
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Cook raisons in water. Reserve 6 tbls of water. Mix baking soda into raisin water. Cream shortening with sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add egg. Mix flour and cinnamon. Add to creamed mixture. Add water, raisins, oatmeal and chocolate chips.

3. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake until lightly browned.
