1 c. butter or margarine
1 1/4 c.sugar
2 eggs, beaten
l c.sour cream
1 tsp.vanilla
2 c.flour
1 tsp.salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp.baking soda

1 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. sugar

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Beat well; mix dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture. Pour 1/2 of the batter into greased 8x8 pan; cover with 1/2 topping (combine nuts and sugar); repeat. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar while hot.
